The Jenkins team have written a great article on the challenges of managing Java end of life and, based on their previous lessons, are doing things a bit differently. As customers, we provide this to you as part of our service, and nothing about this affects your applications, so please read this with the knowledge that you can continue to build your projects as you do.

If you manage your own Jenkins agents, this is something we should talk about, and this message is most relevant to you. If you need support, please reach out to us. We'd be happy to help.

Here is the blog post by the Jenkins team.

We will be phasing out all agents using Java 8 in November to roll out this release.
